Welcome to my Teaching Portfolio. It's my hope that by browsing through my online portfolio you will get a glimpse of my passion for teaching and what I have to offer your school.
I received my degree in Elementary Education from Texas A&M University in 2003. I taught Kindergarten in Spring ISD in the Houston area before moving to Austin to teach in Round Rock ISD. I became ESL certified while teaching in Round Rock. I have experience teaching diverse populations and was team leader in both districts. I am a strong leader and teacher and combine instructional rigor with a warm nature. I've been a stay at home mom the last several years. Becoming a mother and now having children in RRISD I am even more aware of the importance of the home-school connection.
In the last several years I have been a substitute teacher in Round Rock, completed my 150 hours of Continuing Professional Education and completed several different personal studies in research-based instruction that were recommended to me by principals and teachers I have worked with.
